Meet the Board

Executive Board Members

In the fall of 2024 a group of representatives began to meet to continue the work set forth with the send-off and mobilization of the 2-218 Battalion of the Oregon Army National Guard.  The founding members at the time of incorporation of the CMV Alliance were Tim Rippe, Denise Giesbers, Jordan Miller, Mike Eschete, Flynn Phillips, Leann Babcock, Leon Ransom, Teresa Greeno, and Fred Broadwater.

Denise Giesbers

Denise Giesbers - Secretary of the Board   

Denise Giesbers is a founding member and currently serves as the Secretary of the Board for CMV Alliance.  She is currently the Director of Military & Veteran Services Outreach at Pacific University, where she has led the development of inclusive, impactful programs that support Oregon’s military-connected students and communities. Her work centers on building bridges between civilian and military life through education, events, and resource navigation.

Denise has coordinated initiatives in collaboration with ODVA, WA CO DAVS, Returning Veterans Project, the American Legion and the Oregon National Guard. She is also an active collaborator in building military and veteran-focused alliances across public and private sectors.

Her dedication to service has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Artillery Order of Molly Pitcher, awarded for outstanding voluntary contributions to the U.S. Field Artillery community, and a commendation from the American Legion for advancing military support throughout Oregon.

With deep commitment and strategic leadership, Denise continues to advocate for those who serve and foster belonging across all corners of the state.
