Each Veterans Day, our community comes together to recognize and honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This annual celebration brings veterans, military families, community members, local leaders, and veteran-serving organizations together in gratitude for the service, sacrifice, and contributions of our nation's veterans.
The celebration includes the presentation of the colors, National Anthem, recognition of veterans representing our Armed Forces, special guests and speakers, and a tribute to those who have served and sacrificed.

Veterans continue to make a difference long after their military service ends. They are our neighbors, coworkers, mentors, volunteers, community leaders, family members, and friends.
As part of the 2026 Washington County Veterans Day Celebration, we invite the community to nominate veterans to be recognized as Honored Veterans during this year's ceremony.
We are looking for veterans whose military service, leadership, character, community involvement, or continued commitment to serving others represents the spirit of Veterans Day.
Nominees should have a connection to Washington County, Oregon, through residence, employment, service, volunteerism, or meaningful involvement in the community.
A nomination does not need to tell an extraordinary story of medals or military accomplishments. We want to hear about veterans whose stories demonstrate service, dedication, resilience, leadership, or a positive impact on the lives of others.
Veterans of any branch of the United States Armed Forces, including the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard, may be nominated. We welcome nominations representing veterans of different generations, backgrounds, periods of service, and military experiences.

Selected Honored Veterans will be contacted in advance of the celebration. Submission of a nomination does not guarantee selection.
